A small wad of Flax Tow Fiber in the center of a dried grass nest or used with inner bark from a tree is great for starting primitive fires. Also, use this for cleaning your black powder flintlock rifle. You can even spin a fine linen string with it! Sold in a single 24″ twisted hank.
